Women’s National Team April Camp Preview

Writes: Megan Grey

England’s Women’s National Team will return to Reaseheath College this weekend as they return to the Home of Amputee Football since the turn of the clocks.

After a successful team trip to Belgium last month, the squad will be looking to further develop on and off the pitch ahead of the Women’s World Cup in Columbia this November.

Alongside England, the trip welcomed the likes of Turkiye, Scotland, Spain, Poland, Belgium, Germany - with over 40 talented women from those countries participated in the Women’s Training Camp in Ghent [Belgium]. It was an opportunity for Sam Turner’s side to meet others and assess the abilities of the opposition come November.

Building a strong team relationship goes along way towards what’s performed on the pitch, and of course the trip across to Ghent provided an invaluable experience.

Throughout Saturday’s training camp, Turner and his coaching staff will continue to provide opportunity for each of our Lionesses to work on their skills. While there will be further instruction off the field - with classroom sessions and workshops arranged to provide a good understanding of amputee football.

You can keep up to date with all things Lionesses by tuning into our social media channels and website.
