The England Amputee Football Association's national teams are set to appear on BBC Breakfast on Tuesday (23rd June).

Appearing after 7am, the amputee stars will showcase amputee football to the British public as they look for support for their World Cup campaigns.

The Men’s National Team are fundraising to get to November’s World Cup, needing urgent funds and sponsorship to get on the plane to Mexico. Gary Marheineke’s men have been training hard to prepare for the tournament and John Watson and the BBC are joining the campaign to see England’s players realise their World Cup dream.

The Women’s National Team are preparing for their second World Cup in 2027 under new manager Jessica Lewis with the hope that donations and sponsorship are forthcoming to aid their journey.

The EAFA is a charity, fully run by unpaid volunteers, with all donations going towards the costs of essentials including hiring pitches for training camps, hotels, kit and travel to international tournaments.

The players and volunteers across the charity show immense dedication and commitment to amputee football, travelling for hours to get to training camps and funding the travel themselves, all for the love of football. The training doesn’t stop away from the pitch, with players training at home and in the gym to continue their progression.

Every penny is vital to The EAFA’s operations and with the support of the public we can continue to give opportunities for these amazing athletes to play at the elite level they’ve worked so hard to reach.

The EAFA is immensely grateful for your support and with your backing we can continue to make a difference.
