One Last Practice Before Poland

Writes: Sam Seddon-Davies

The final training camp for the England National Team commences this weekend ahead of their trip to Warsaw for the Amp Futbol Cup early next month.

It’s expected to be another action-packed weekend consisting of three sessions across Friday evening and Saturday with a friendly fixture versus Everton Pan-Disability taking place on Sunday.

As preparations for the 2024 European Championships intensify, the Amp Cup will be seen as a milestone on the road to France to evaluate their position against other European opposition.

But first, the players and staff head to Reaseheath College for their last stage of preparations.

Having been at the helm for almost six months, Scott Rogers will lead the sessions alongside his team of staff, with newly appointed assistant coach, Mark Dolan taking a stance on transitional styles of play.

Linking up with the group again on Friday will be defender Sean Jackson, who continues his rehab and progress towards returning to the squad for the first time since February following a recurring ATFL injury.

‘Jacko’ worked independently with national team Sports Rehabilitator Niall Hogan last week and aims to reunite with his teammates on the pitch soon by steadily improving his recovery at every camp.

The squad seek to start September on a positive, with teamwork and ambition on and off the grass leading us forward.
