It’s that time of the month again when the lads regroup for another national team camp ahead of the European Championships this summer.
Fresh ideas as well as a consistent plan will be brought to the table by an experienced staffing team at EAFA for the squad to take on board and perfect.
However, it wasn’t long ago that the players went head-to-head against each other for their respective clubs in the opening weekend of the IKO EAFL season, getting a taste of what rival nations have to prepare for.
The national team boys were all in good form in the domestic league, impressing across a busy day full of fixtures.
As always, the prestigious places in the starting seven are being competed for at this weekend’s camp, with Sean Jackson continuing his fight back into the defensive rearguard after a lengthy period out through injury. However, a goal on his Everton debut was a great moment for all to see and something that’s certainly given him the confidence to progress.
Elsewhere, England are fortunate to have one of the strongest goalkeeping departments in the world and once again Kieran Lambourne, Thomas Atkinson and Freddie Palin, three young and hungry shot-stoppers, will be looking to impress for a chance to cement the number one shirt.
It’s not long now until the EAFA family comes together for another camp and you can be a part of it by following the squad’s journey across our social media channels.
