It’s The EAFA Juniors’ chance to shine this weekend as 72 young amputee footballers take part in our biggest junior training camp yet.

With the continued support of The DJ Sidebottom/Glasdon Charitable Programme and The Wembley Stadium Foundation, The EAFA Junior Programme is ever growing and is the biggest junior amputee football programme in the world.

But The EAFA’s junior camps are about more than just football.

These training camps are facilitated by our amazing volunteers and the juniors and their parents become an important part of The EAFA family. They all get to enjoy making friends while the juniors play games, have fun and learn new skills on the training pitch.

Not only will they be playing amputee football, they’re looking forward to a very exciting Easter party to finish Saturday in style.

The Easter party will be a great occasion for parents and juniors to socialise and thanks to DJ and party host Alex Lane, Wikid Entertainment is donating their time and skills to bring the party vibes to the evening.

There have been some fantastic donations to celebrate our juniors, ensuring they have a great time and feel extra special. A whole host of toys have been generously donated by John CL and Sheree O’Callaghan, while a mountain of Easter eggs for the children has been kindly donated by Paul and Dawn Bevan.

A huge thank you goes to Rob and Becky at Swizzles Sweets for providing all the sweets for the children. Amanda McNamee has also donated 100 cupcakes that will be very much enjoyed and add to the amazing treats on offer.

We share our gratitude to Carla Green and her colleagues at Preston for donating vouchers that will be received by our juniors. They have been so supportive of The EAFA Junior Programme over the years and it is very much appreciated. Subway Gateway in Crewe have worked tirelessly to help The EAFA provide food for the party with a generous discount.

The EAFA would like to thank Val Nelhams and the team at Reaseheath College for working over the bank holiday, without which we could not have held this weekend’s training camp. Our continued partnership is important to the charity.

Two of our talented juniors, Lyla and Koda, are also supporting The EAFA Junior Programme by taking on the Heaton Park RunThrough Junior Race in May. You can donate to their GoFundMe page here.

The EAFA thanks them for their immense efforts and we really appreciate the wider community that supports us to create the amazing experiences these weekend’s give to our young people.
