Elaine Oakey recognised with Pride of Britain Award

Elaine Oakey has been honoured with a Pride of Britain Inspiration Award, recognising her immense impact in leading The EAFA Junior Programme.
Through years of tireless action, Elaine Oakey has been a beacon of hope to so many experiencing the most challenging of times as they and their families navigate life with limb loss and limb difference.
This Pride of Britain Award shines a bright light on her passion, determination and selfless endeavour to make the world a better place.
What started as a mission to see her son Jamie play amputee football has become a calling that’s enriched the lives of The EAFA family.
Currently 70 young people enjoy playing amputee football at our junior camps - beginning their journey on the same pathway followed by countless players at The England Amputee Football Association to play internationally for England and in The EAFA’s league.
Now it’s time to support the person who has been there for everyone.
Play your part in supporting Elaine and The EAFA Junior Programme by donating to the fundraiser here.
Your donations will help to continue the amazing work done by Elaine and volunteers in The EAFA Junior Programme, funding Junior Training Camps, hotels, food, equipment and entertainment so that every family can take part without the added worries of costs.
Thank you for helping Elaine and The EAFA to make a difference through amputee football.
Watch the Pride of Britain Awards on ITV1 at 8pm on Thursday 22nd October.
