Saturday will mark the end of the EAFA domestic season as Everton, Portsmouth and Chelsea battle it out for the final piece of silverware - with two trophies to their name already can the Toffees clinch the EAFA League Cup title?
The Toffees are a force to be reckoned with, having five England internationals amongst their ranks as well as England assistant coach Mark Dolan as their manager has created a culture like no other.
"We have a good mix of ages and come from different areas and backgrounds but we have some good jokers in the squad as well as a few scousers - so we bring our own special sense of humour,” said Everton goalkeeper Phil Grace.
“It’s a good mix amongst the group, so when we lose we lose together and when we win we win together and when we win we know how to celebrate."
The boyhood Everton man feels as if he’s living the dream of representing his beloved blues and playing alongside some of Europe’s best talents, Grace said: "I am so proud to play for Everton and wear the shirt and always a bit nervous that you don’t let them down.
“It’s a privilege to play alongside the England lads, they protect me at all times, as for playing against them in training it’s a nightmare because you know what they are capable of."
So, as the Blues aim to make it three from three trophies this season, the question is whether the North West side has what it takes after a long hard season... Grace certainly thinks so, he said: "As long as we stick together and stick to whatever game plan Mark [Dolan] gives us, I’m sure the quality and belief in our squad will carry us through.”
